BUITEMS is Quetta personified. The university is blazing trails for others to follow in the arena of events and activities related to arts and culture, economics and science, and information and communication technology. BUITEMS has been trying to develop a link between inventions, research and scholarship, on one hand, and their applied social, environmental and commercial value, on the other. In recent years, BUITEMS has surfaced as an institution full of promise and prospect for academia and life in general in Balochistan. BUITEMS’ spearheading of the mission QLF is just another glaring example in this regard. All this stands testimonial to BUITEMS’ acknowledgement of and belief in the reservoirs of local potential and talents which is precisely what the QLF endeavors to unearth.

Quetta, as a host of the Festival, never ceases to amaze. It has an inexhaustible and exciting repository of stories, legends, myths, narratives, arts and crafts. The city is home to numerous ethnic, cultural, and linguistic communities assimilating from each other’s way and philosophy of life since time immemorial. In that way, the value of tolerance of approach and plurality of viewpoints has never been lost on these communities. Add to that the variety and delicacy of their cuisine, costumes, and celebrations, and you get a place full of wonders and joys under the sublime wings of the Takatu Mountain.
